The Board apologizes for any confusion. The fact is that per our Constitution & Bylaws we were late in notifying the membership concerning the change in venue to a Zoom meeting, which was simply an oversight since we have been holding meetings this way all year.

 

The Board has determined that we cannot safely hold an in-person meeting on Thursday, December 2nd at 8 p.m., given the prospect of a well-attended event. The Board has also decided that, given the approaching holidays, the meeting must be held on the date already reserved for it. 

 

We believe that a slight (15 minute) change in the meeting start time satisfies our legal obligations under the Bylaws. Therefore, in accordance with NBC By-Laws Chapter I, section C.2, as Commodore, I am postponing the December General Membership Meeting to the earliest convenient time at an alternative location, which is to instead convene the meeting at 8:15 pm on the same day by Zoom .

 

The meeting will thus be held on Thursday, December 2nd 2021 at 8:15 via Zoom.
