The repair group continues to meet weekly to monitor our progress in recovering from Sandy. Our latest report is attached. We are on track for a full recovery. Design and engineering work is nearing completion. We will report thoroughly at the March membership meeting and continue to post updates of the plan to the Club website so that members can understand how and when the work will be accomplished.Sandy Recovery Plan Members have been unreservedly supportive in the recovery of the Club – clearing debris, redecking the pier, allocating Club funds to the repairs, digging into their pockets to replenish the contingency reserve, and planning and organizing to restore full operations. Our insurance will provide for the remaining considerable repair to the Clubhouse. The village of Nyack has waived the building permit fees to support our recovery. We will be contracting the replacement of electrical service to the pier. But we need to staff and direct the remaining repairs.
