Cruising Fleet

    The Cruising Fleet is the biggest fleet in the Club with more than 100 members. Boats in the Fleet range from 20 to 45 feet. With such a large membership, activities abound every week from May through October. Events fall into three major categories: organized cruises, social gatherings at the Club, and racing. Many members of the Cruising Fleet combine weekly active racing with social sailing and cruising to distant locations. Cruisers can race at Nyack on Wednesday evenings, Sunday afternoons, or at weekend regattas throughout the year at neighboring yacht clubs sponsored by the Hudson River Yacht Racing Association.     Cruising Fleet

    NBC’s largest fleet is its “Cruising” fleet, which is visible in the mooring field just off our clubhouse where the Hudson River's natural beauty provides a striking setting and a true escape from everyday life. Club members are shuttled to and from their boats by the NBC launch. Several times a season, the cruising fleet organizes group cruises up and down the Hudson River, anchoring and spending the night in favorite locations before cruising back home the next day.
